martinkeys
Hello, I was wondering aboutht he current status of users/Casio implementing half-damper pedaling and/or continuous controller/volume pedaling? I have read many posts that seem to be from mid 2016.
AlenK
You are waiting for one or both of these features on the PX-5S? That's clearly not going to happen. Besides the fact that the board is well over four years old now and hence Casio is unlikely to release any more firmware updates (the last one was three years ago!), supporting either of those features would take a hardware change, which almost never happens anymore on a given keyboard model. Aside from firmware updates, you get what you get. Even circuit-bending users aren't going to be able to do this, assuming anyone would bother trying. Now, if you don't mind losing a lot of other features of the 5S you can get both features you mention now by swapping your 5S for a PX-560. If on the other hand you don't want to give up any of those features you will have to wait for a 5S successor or buy another brand.
