Chas Posted February 4, 2018 Share Posted February 4, 2018 Checked both my P1 and G1. See pics attached ("Untitled" is my G1, "Mothership" is my P1). The thin blue line at the bottom is just a feature of the back lit LCD. I never took any notice of it, and was never concerned about it. If it only does it when you power on and at no other time, then yes, that's normal for most keyboards with headphone sockets. CarbonLifeForm Posted February 9, 2018 Share Posted February 9, 2018 If it is a super loud pop you have a bad relay or power capacitor on the main power circuit board. If it's just a slight pop it's normal. If you are worried about your headphones, unplug them before turning on the keyboard. Also, turning the volume to 0 also is a good practice before powering on. Chas Posted February 10, 2018 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Pretty much every keyboard I have does that if headphones are left plugged in on power up. Same applies to some audio amplifiers too, both when connected to speakers as well as headphones. It's just the sound of transformers/ transistors/ regulators initially energising.
