mirka
The CT x700 and x800 have a 6 tracks real time "tape recorder" like sequencer. Does anybody know how it is on x3000 and x5000 ? Is it 17 tracks of the same kind of recorder or a full midi sequencer with quantize/loop/punch in/punch out/ etc... (or something in between the two) ? Casiofun
I think the CT-X 3000 and 5000 have the 17 track sequencer and pattern sequencer while the 700 and 800 have the 6 channel recorder. With the 17 track sequencer you have cut, copy, paste, quantize, etc.
mirka
Hopefully so. Otherwise i will get a X700 and keep on recording my music on pc. Thanks.
Casiofun
There is a you tube video of someone showing how to use the 6 track recorder on a CT-X 700. It is not in English. Casio CT-X700 6 ścieżkowy rejestrator:sekwencer
mirka
The recorder is a usefull enough feature for a "real" pianist/keyboardist (like on the video). I am not. I only use keys to compose music. It is not my main instrument, so i need the midi tools to "cheat" (slower tempo/quantize).
mirka
Thanks for the manuals of the CT-X3000/X5000. Hopefully somebody will make a video tutorial about how to operate the rythm/pattern sequencer. As it is on the manual, it is like chinese to me ! AlenK
Personally, I don't see a big problem with the description in the manual of how to use the sequencer in the CT-X3000/X5000. But sure, a video tutorial would be nice. I just wouldn't hold my breath waiting for one, especially from Casio. That said, doing a lot of sequence editing using the CT-X's interface isn't going to be particularily pleasant no matter what.
Lee33
It will be very similar to the WK/CTK series and at first it is like pulling teeth, but you become more accustomed to it. Obviously, a fat touch screen would be better, but costs n all....
mirka
It seems so simple here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iz-jsRUugx0 It should be the same in a manuel. Unfortunately it is not often so. Or maybe it is actually a more "complicated" procedure on the CTX-3000/5000 ?
mirka
Mea Culpa ! The manual is fine, my laziness made me judge too fast.

Get your sequence recorded and mixed like you want on the instrument and do the detailed editing for your computer.
