Is There Any Way to Convert/Load .mid Files As .zss Files?

Even if at 1 pattern at a time.  Although I am far from being an expert at sequencing, I have to believe that the pre-set patterns from the factory were not loaded into the XW-P1 memory one burtton or one key stroke at a time.  Creating a pattern in a favorite DAW and exporting as a 16-step .mid file that could then be imported as a .zss file would be far more efficient (for me) than working with the XW's buttons and/or sliders.  This inquiry already takes into account the ability to import .mid files as phrase sequences, which I've dabbled and became frustrated with due to midi setting issues, lack of information in the manual the manual and, no other user experience shared on this or other boards.  Please excuse if I am guilty of under-estimating such a solution.

Mike Martin, any comments?

Thanks.

Hi Mike.

I've had the P1 just over a month, so I'm on the learning curve.  Is it possible to play other voice in addition to the voice played by the phrase sequencer?  For example, when phrase sequence (imported drum track) is playing any of the PCM drum kits, I am trying to play another PCM tone on the keyboard. Haven't been able to do this so far and I don't see anything like this covered by the manual.

Thanks for replying.  Appreciate your support on this (and the other) site.
