Hammertime
Hi all - whilst I sit here patiently in the UK awaiting arrival I am turning my next thoughts to the external speakers that will be used for practice in the house - not a particularly big room so no stage rig required (yet) and I've heard that studio quality monitors would be not helpful when trying to get a great room sound from a DP - so what are we using here and what's recommended please?
Joe Muscara
At home, I just have it running through my old studio monitors, meant for recording. The amp is an Alesis RA-100 and the speakers are the original Alesis Studio Ones. At gigs, I use a single QSC K10.
Mike Martin
Usually speakers for home/studio are different this live use. For live, I'm a big fan of the QSC K10. For home studio use there are so many options from Presonus, KRK, Tannoy , Genelec, DynAudio....from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand the options are too plentiful to mention. What is your budget?
