Sudharshan Kaarthik
There is a 16 track recorder in PX 350. A very powerful feature. Is there a way to control the volume levels of indivudual tracks? For eg. the if I want to use the organs (which ate not touch sensitive),the volume of that track is too high in the mix. Jokeyman123
This is an old post. I have not been able to do this without software connected to the px. I have requested that Casio consider some type of firmware upgrade to add this feature but I doubt it will happen. A shame as without this ablity, the internal recorder is almost impossible to work with for midi multi-track recording.
Jokeyman123
Still not much to add to this-but I have used a crude workaround. Varying the keyboard touch (page E-44 in the manual) is the only way I can record different dynamic levels for each track without using a software sequencer. This is important to me especially with drum tracks, where typically each percussion instrument/drumkit part will not have the same dynamic level. Unfortunately since certain "tones" have a fixed level-organs etc. this will not always work and I haven't found a simple or even complex way around this. Mike Martin has suggested the iPad midi app used for the XWs can do this with the PX but I haven't tried since no iPad have I! I'm using software to re-arrange my compositions' dynamic levels which are easily enough transferred to a computer in total once recorded in the PX-350. Not the most ideal, but it works. Repeating another post, too bad there is no data manger program for the Privia/PX series. Since there are so many models in the Privia line now, it would really be nice to have even a simple data manager of some kind. The operating systems have enough similarities compared to the WK and CTKs, it seems it could be done. if I knew enough code, I'd do it myself. I don't think Casio would be willing to open enough of their code for this to happen, but there is definitely software on the web that could design a front-end for the PX if I knew enough sysex. I'm still trying to learn the program called simply "ctrlr" (www.ctrlr.org) that already has many templates for other midi equipment on their website. Anybody who could help me with this, let me know.
