FZ-1 is up for sale close to me.. $250 with flight case......... ugggg... must. resist. no. nooooooooooo!

Sounds expensive. In the UK, FZ1's can be picked up for around £50 - £75. I also saw one with flight case for around that price. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Classic-1980s-CASIO-FZ-1-Digital-Sampling-Synthesiser-Keyboard-Case-/181282787560?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Keyboard_RL&hash=item2a354bd0e8

Yeah - I don't buy anything from the 80's for much more than $100.. too risky.. I am also out of room.

You and me both, except that still hasn't stopped me buying even more Casios...

Today is going to be 'Casio Clearout' as I'm going to put one up for sale. Don't worry, it's a duplicate (Casiotone 403) so I'll be keeping the better condition example that still has all its white switch tips! I'm also going to try and sell a Korg i4S, which I only bought because it came paired with an HT6000 (rare beast!) and the buyer wouldn't split. Such dedication to my classic Casio cause that I even bought a Korg just to get a rare Casio!

I have so lost count how many keyboards and guitars I now have...!

HA! I remember when my mother-in-law saw my new PX-5S she glanced over at my two Rolands and said (with a disapproving tone).. "So you have THREE keyboards now.. plus a piano?"...

Thank God she didn't know about the two Yamahas, the Ensoniq, and Key RIg 49 that were in the other room waiting to be set-up.  :D

From the PX-5S Facebook Group.  Group member, Christian Cullen, shared this video of his appearance using the PX-5S on WGN TV in Chicago with Mike Reno and Jim Peterik.

This had to come from a TV show of some sort but I don't have a link to the full video, only this animated GIF (which apparently doesn't animate here - you have to click on it):

Alen, that GIF is from a popular cable TV show in the US.  I watched it often when I was a kid.  It aired on the "Nickelodeon" network.  It was a kids quiz/physical challenge show called "Family Double Dare" and I'm pretty sure the Casio was the prize for completing one of the obstacles in the obstacle course at then end of the show.  They gave away alot of cool little Casio's on that show back then.

And that was way more than you ever needed to know about that TV show.   :)

It's actually kinda sad

It's extremely sad!   My WK-1250 flooded in a hurricane and no longer works and I've been wishing it still did.   The one they destroyed was probably in good shape. A simple swap with me would've been sensible.   Hey, maybe some of the parts inside are still OK!   I just need the PCB's.  Anyone know the number to WWE?

Considering the fact that they destroy Rolls Royce's, Hummers, Limo's, and expensive musical instruments (not just digital pianos), I'd consider it good press that they only pick well-known names!  To me, it looked like an empty shell anyway (just the case, no electronics within).  Credit Jimi Hendrix and Pete Townsend with starting the whole "destroying your instruments" on stage.
