Brad Saucier
Press the mixer button. Press the part minus button to go to the EXT channel. Check that it is on and the volume is up. Also check noise gate threshold. These settings should be default to ON and ready for input. Curious why your not getting sound.

Gnomo Alegre
Hello:You can edit the parameters of the external input sound block (MIC IN / INST IN). But you can not edit the sound of another keyboard and record it. You can save the configuration of the external sound block user.I comment from Solo Synth mode. If I'm wrong, correct me, please.
zymos
2 different things, no? You can simply play audio through it, or audio in can be one of the 6 possible sources of the Solo Synth....

Hello: AUDIO IN input is for CD player, audio player, etc..And regarding the Synth Solo mode:The external input sound block (MIC IN and INST IN) counts as an oscillator with editable parameters. Aborting mixer EXT option.A tip:You experience testing INST IN (other electronic musical instruments), AUDIO IN and MIC IN connections. And you learn to use each. Brad Saucier
If sampling is the question then NO. You would need the XW-G1 to sample sounds from another instrument and save them.
