drawbar organ ctk7200

Recommended Posts

Hi, just got this keyboard to get back into playing, I picked this one because of the organ section.

In the old days to get draw bars on an organ or keyboard was very expencive, my question is,,

can the rotary sound be switched off and on with a pedal rather than trying to hit the button. I

have had a look in the book but only found sustain,, hope someone can help

cheers

old George

Just noticed this post and want to know-considering purchasing a CTK-do the drawbars for organ on the CTK 7000 and 7200 allow for relatively fine settings? My XW-P1 does this pretty well-sounds fairly continuous although the stepping is a little coarse compared to a true Hammond. I've read the WK7500 drawbars do not step smoothly, although I think this has been changed with the WK7600. Anybody?

Here's a review of the Casio WK3000+ series by  Clonewheel

http://clonewheel.pbworks.com/w/page/8507647/Casio

The older WK3000's had adjustable drawbars as buttons up and down but had to be saved as a setup.

As previously noted on this forum,  the CTK-7000 +  WK7000 series have the drawbar adjustments in real time.

The CTK7000 /WK7500 drawbars  have 4 adjustments  Off- Low - Medium and High

and the

The CTK7200 + WK7600 have the 9 adjustments Off and 1- 8 positions.

The reviewers did not seem to think that the 4 position drawbar settings were much of a drawback

"Only three levels per footage are available (as opposed to eight on most clonewheels) but in practice this is less of a limitation than it might sound."

I have found that to be the case with my WK7500.   With setting the drawbars with care, a nice tone package can be setup.

I liked that the Casio Reviewer referenced the MZ 2000 as the flagship gold standard too..
