Richard716
Hi, I have formatted my sd card on the casio and it created a folder "MUSICDAT" . I have download Mikes Moog files and copied the files into the "MUSICDAT" folder created on the SD card. When I tried to upload the files it says no file. Help Cheers, Richard
AlenK
Did you unzip them first? You will need to - the XW doesn't understand zipped files.
Richard716
I thinks so. The file extensions are .ZLT
AlenK
The .ZLT ifile extension is for a Hex Layer tone. The solo synth tones have a .ZSY extension. From Mike's Moog-inspired set (here) you should see the following files when you unzip: All Square.ZSYBig Bottom.ZSYCluster.ZSYFATT BASS.ZSYMiniBass.ZSYMM BASS4.ZSYNumans Lead.ZSYOctoBass.ZSYRamp lead.ZSYSlowtime.ZSY
Richard716
OK, have the ZSY files on the SD card, but when loaded in the XW-P1 and I tried to load them it still says "No files"!!!!!!!!!!!
AlenK
Hmm. I suggest a test: Save a user synth tone (that is recognizably different from others, just so you are sure you are hearing the same tone) from the synth itself to the card. Now load the sound from the card and put it in another user memory location. Did it transfer OK? If you now read the SD card in your computer can you see the file in the MUSICDAT folder? If you then put the card back in the XW can you still see the file? If you answered yes to all of those questions there might be something wrong with how your computer is writing files to the card. If you answered no to one of them that may give you a clue about what part of the process is going wrong.
Richard716
OK sorted. It maybe be obvious to all but I made a simple error, (the manual is not clear!) When loading the files you need to select the mode that the sound is for, i.e. ZSY select Solo synth, ZLT select Hex layer. Seems obvious now Cheers, Richard
