Issue With Changing Bass Channel 13 Cutoff Filter

Recommended Posts

Im not sure whats going on here with the G1 but I'm running SSEQ Electro D&B, I select Part 13 from the mixer gui and I'm unable to change or rather hear any change in the filter when using the knobs or drawbars.

I must be missing something as on my Yamaha DJX, it's as simple as pressing the Part Control button, selecting the bass key and filtering the bass with the cutoff/ribbon controls.

Thanks.

Ah well, this thread had zero views but I'll reply and give you the solution as I figured it out myself.

When in Step Edit mode, press the Mixer button below the screen and press the Part - + buttons (found below the main volume knob) until you reach channel 13. Press the mixer button again and use the up/down arrows (on the right section of the main panel) till your bullet point is next to DSP Line. If it's showing "off", press the Yes button on the main panel, ( the one next to No and Menu). Press the Mixer button again to make the change and you can now use both the sliders and knobs to change the cutoff as well as the res parameters for the sequence pattern..

When changing patterns press the mixer button again if you want to change the DSP Line for the bass to on and again to make the change.

It's my first day with this new synth so still learning it's functions, I'm not sure if you can set all sequence patterns to have the DSP Line on by default. Anyone ?

As Scottym described you can turn on dsp on each instrument channels for the drums from 8 to 13 but it wont necessarily have effect on the dsp parameters especially when you switch instruments while playing SSEQ especially with solo synths, Cause you're probably running SSEQ solo and don't want that. If you want to change effects and parameters its best to do that in creating a performance patch you can do that by going into performance mode select the sequence you want set it up after that go to controllers and set to each knobs the desired function to manipulate save your performance patch and you can do all sort of things after worth to your new patch give it an awesome name to your desire. Once done believe me that patch going to expand doing more cool things as you figure out more.
