CASIOS XW G1 & WK225

Recommended Posts

Assuming the WK-225 has MIDI in and out ports you need two 5 Pin MIDI cables and you simply attach the OUT from the XW to the IN of the WK and vice versa.

If you wish to add a computer to the loop you'd need only 1 MIDI cable and 1 USB to MIDI adapter and you'd hook up the adapter OUT to the XW's IN, a straight 5 Pin MIDI from the XW's OUT to the WK's IN and the WK''s OUT to the USB adapter's IN.

You can easily find all the cables you need on Amazon.

Hope this helps,

Gary

You won't be able to connect the WK to the XW directly.  The WK-225 does not have standard midi ports.  It has a Midi USB port. That requires the use of a host device. A computer running some midi software is an example of one.  For instance, connect both the XW and WK to a computer using the USB ports. Software such as Cakewalk can route the midi of one device out to the other.
