Knuckles
Just out of curiosity, what do the green numbers beside people's names in the member list mean?
Jokeyman123
Those are "likes". If someone thinks a comment you posted are helpful or for whatever reason, they can enter a "like" for your profile. if they don't like it, well that's another story!

Knuckles
Thanks Gary, but what makes you think I don't.............?
AlenK
Funny thing about 70's disco. I used to have a T-shirt in high school (which I attended at just the time disco was popular) that said "Disco sucks!" You could actually get away with wearing it in school. It certainly expressed what my friends and I thought of that trend (the music, the dancing, the clothes). Today, when I hear a BeeGee's tune like "Stayin' Alive" on the radio I'm more apt to think, "Well, at least it was real music and they could actually sing without AutoTune."
Null
Now I'm singing "Disco Sucks" to the tune of "Disco Duck" in my head. I'm sending all of my therapy bills to you :D

Jokeyman123
Oh no, what have i started here! by Johnny Rotten (not really him in case anybody thought so)
Null
Not Johnny Rotten, but Henry Rollins of "Jackass" fame... Classic punk!!!
Knuckles
The slightly worrying thing, Gary is that at soon as I read the words "Disco sucks", it started instantly playing in MY head also to the tune of "disco duck"...... Just in time for me to read your post! LOL.
Knuckles
Wow - just noticed I am an "advanced member" now.........not sure where I have advanced to - bottom of the page, I guess..... but perhaps that is progress? Must be due to the small avalanche of "likes" which has descended upon me since I started this discussion of the disco genre......

Knuckles
Great. I'm advanced, but not sufficiently so as to be able to delete a mysteriously repeated post.........What comes next after advanced? Washed up??
AlenK
AFAIK there is no way for a non-administrators to delete posts. They will be here "forever", maybe surviving even as long as a MacDonald's hamburger can last out in the open without going moldy.
Null
First off he's a member. Seondly, if he caught it in time there's a brief window when you can Edit a post and at least delete the content leaving a blank post (or almost blank) instead of a double one. And now because I'm all punked up I say it because I can! "BOLLOCKS!!!" Ooooooh, that felt good
AlenK
Meant to say non-administrators rather than non-members. Fixed that above.Perhaps we could establish a SOP where posters could delete the text of the post and replace it with DOUBLE POST. Then when an admin has some time he/she (he today but in the future?) can search the threads for those that say only DOUBLE POST and delete them.BTW, double BOLLOCKS!!!
