teknoman
This is important to me.One of my buddies invited me to his house for a jam session.my problem is two keyboards or three? And which combination?do I take the two synths ,p and g and leave the px home?or do I take the px and leave the g1or p1?or take all three.i should explain that the music will be totally freeform.i.e.lets play and see where this goes..what would you fellas do? And thanks!
XW-Addict
If I would have all three would have taken the PX5S for sure then I would think which of the XW would be the choice, If I would do a big choir/brass thing like stuff I would definitely take the P1 because of the hexlayers and the greater choice of PCM, But if I would need grooves sampled addition quick to program things I can store in samples or performance, drumcomputer I would choose the G1.
Null
If it's just a one night jam session I don't think I'd take anything more than just the P1 or the G1 by themselves. Either one can hold its own in almost any genre and bringing along more, aside from breaking your back and adding needless complexity simply looks like you're "showing off" Gary
lodger
It depends on what you want to do and what sounds you want to make. The best move with me to choose the sounds that would complement everything else nicely. Once you decide this see if he can get it done with this with as few as possible
lodger
Also if you're not sure go in favor of versatility

teknoman
Think I,ll bring along my g1andp1.this is turning into an elp like moment. A guitar buddy of mine who ,I don,t know was hit in the head by a rock I think, invited some months ago to jam with him.Okay so far ,so good. I went to pack up a guitar or bass,he tells me "nope ,why don,t you bring them old synths you never play, cause I,m playing drums,"Wtf!!!!!! So ,get this I dig out my 30yr old multimoog and roland sh 101grabbed my guitar pedal board. And went to his house. All I can say is I haven't picked up a guitar in 6months and won't.So that's,how this started!!!!yep.
MaliceCooper
I second just bringing the P1 or G1. (I am lazy and I hate dragging a bunch of gear around )I get together with a few people for a small jam session once a week and I find that the P1 is more than enough! SmoovJazzy55
Maybe Casio will make a XWP&G1PX5S so you will just need to take one.
