Display Name Posted April 16, 2014 Share Posted April 16, 2014 I guess sometime ago manufactures decided that 61 keys (5 octave) was the "sweet spot" for the synth form-factor. I have a 76 key workstation.. I find that to be the Goldilocks amount of keys. I also have a 49 and 25 key controller that are useful for travel or sound design. Of course 88 keys is the king... I don't think any DP or synth has pulled a Bosendorfer and gone beyond 88.. unless you count dual manual 49's! ... 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
