leeskeys
Can the 9 sliders (drawbars) on the P1 be mapped as midi controllers for external VSTs? For example, if I wanted to use the P1 as a midi controller for GSI Vb3, could I map the VB3 virtual drawbars to the sliders on the P1? Jokeyman123
Look at the topic here-"Can a slider be a source of a midi controller". Several of us have done quite a bit of work trying to find out exactly what can be controlled with the XW-P1 sliders, internally and externally. It isn't good. Apparently some functionality is there for external software or hardware, but not much and not without difficulty .If you study this post, it will clarify without my hashing it over. It would seem to be a logical use for these on the XW, but unless you are willing to work with the limitations we've discovered already, the best answer is yes it can be done, but might not be worth the trouble. You might find a different result, XW will receive data coming in from software with little trouble, including functions normally controlled with the drawbars, but using it the other way around is not so clear-cut. I'm sure others here will chime in if they have a better answer.
Scottym
If you are using the P1, yes you can map the 9 sliders as they send CC messages, if you are using the G1 then no it won't work. It works perfectly fine with an application like Reason, the only thing you've to remember is that the sliders work in reverse, and remember to be in Drawbar mode. If the virtual organ vst accepts cc messages, then there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

No MIDI CC for the XW-G1 sliders. FYI: The KNOWS will send MIDI CC on the XW-P1 AND XW-G1.
