sus4
I've set up my registrations to have a bass in the left hand and piano in the right. So, how do I change the right hand piano sound without changing the left hand bass?I can change the left hand bass with no problem, haven't figured out how to do the right hand.Want to be able to do this on the fly while I'm playing a gig. Display Name
Couple ways to make it happen.,, one is to set up consecutive stage settings with everything identical except the right hand tone.. use pedal 2 to advance the SS up. Another way is to set up a hexlayer and use the sliders to fade one in while fading the other out.
sus4
Scott, I'm sorry, but I don't understand. What do you mean by setting up consecutive stage settings with everything identical except the right hand tone...and.Use pedal 2 to advance the SS up. What's SS?Also, what's a hexlayer? My PX350 doesn't have sliders.

Jokeyman123
There is no way to do this nice and simple-you have to pick the right hand "tone" first as your main tone, then apply the split and pick your left hand "tone". This seems backwards to me. Wouldn't one need to pick your left hand tone first, the static one, then be able to pick any right hand sound you want on the fly? I have the PX-350 and was puzzled as to why this couldn't be done easily for changing the right hand part, which would seem pretty important for playing out on a gig. Guess you have to save each "split" separately for each right hand tone you need as a registration in those memory slots and call each registration up one up one at a time. The good thing is that there are 100 slots for registration setups. As far as I can tell, this is the only way you can do several different splits. If you haven't dealt with a "registration" think of it as a "multi" or "performance" except with only 2 keyboard zones! The PX350 is designed more as a consumer digital piano with auto-accompaniment rather than a real midi controller workstation with multiple keyboard zones, splits and layers. Still sounds nice though.
sus4
You're right. Saving as registrations is the way to go.
