Jokeyman123
Not that I wish to start a civil or uncivil war, but if anyone is interested, I've saved mp3 files of a digital piano comparison from quite awhile ago sponsored by Keyboard Magazine. I'm not sure how to post or host these. If anyone here is interested in listening to these let me know how to do that, I don't think I'd be violating anybody's copyrights. Guess I could post these on Soundcloud. I have the Roland RD770SX, Korg Triton Extreme, Generalmusic Promega, Yamaha Motif ES, Ensoniq ZR76 Coakley piano, a Kurzweil (not sure which) and finally a real Steinway B series. Subtle differences-same short semi-classical piece, only about 2MB per piano.
Display Name
I would put them on SoundCloud to save the bandwidth of the site.
Jokeyman123
OK-then I guess I just paste a link for each mp3 I post on SoundCloud here in my post using the above link icon? I know my way around Soundcloud, but i have yet to link any music here. Thanks Scott.
Jokeyman123
I've uploaded all tracks to Soundcloud, marked as private at this point. I think I need a little help figuring out how to post-do I link to my main Soundcloud stream page where all these files are listed together, or do I need to paste a link to each page where the individual track is? And do I keep these marked private or public for people to access here at Casio? Thanks again Scott, pretty new to some of this linking concept for Soundcloud. Display Name
All you need to do is copy and paste each song link here. Just click on the track title in your soundcloud profile... the URL for that track will then be in the browser bar it will be in this format:https://soundcloud.com/YOUR_USER_NAME/TRACK_NAMEJust past that link into a post.. don't need to use the link button. Jokeyman123
OK, simpler than I thought. Checking copyright rules today on soundcloud-I don't want to risk violating anything-these are old demonstration files but not too old-Triton, Motif ES among other digital piano sounds and the real Steinway "B" but once I'm sure it's OK, I'll post these. The PX pianos hold up very well after listening to all these. Except for the real Steinway-I've noticed alot of the digital acoustic piano simulations have trouble sounding full in the middle registers-i would guess because these octaves get full benefit of harmonic resonance in the real grand pianos-blending in with both lower and upper octaves which must be murder to duplicate with samples.
