ptt1404
I am just wondering that if we can play px 350 with sustain effect without really having an actual pedal. A option in settings that turn on sustain effect ?What are Ipad apps currently working with px 350 ?Thks guys.
cpcohen
No. You could try to use an iPad (or other software) to send a MIDI CC#64 / value 127 message ("sustain pedal on"), and then play. . . . Are you trying to generate a drone? . Charles
Joe Muscara
Why would you want to do that? One solution, which may not be possible on the 350 as it depends on if it's programmable, would be to set the sounds to have a very long decay. But then all of the notes would do that. It's not programmable, in the sense that a synthesizer is programmable. You can't control attack / decay / sustain / release times on the PX-350. . Joe Muscara
I didn't think so. I'm still wondering what ptt1404 is trying to do.
Jokeyman123
I have made sustain pedals with simple single pole push to contact footswitches years ago when I needed several and couldn't afford to buy multiple sustain pedals. Since there are smaller manufactured pedals like this already (used for punch-in and out functions too) these could be used on a tabletop or similar if someone could not use foot motions for a pedal. Then I could see the necessity for making some type of switch used by your hand. This could even be a toggle-type switch or momentary push on/off switch to keep sustain on or off across the entire keyboard-these switches are available at most electronics supply houses (I use Jameco which is a very good source for these parts)-would be a difficult technique since all notes would blend together until you manually switch off sustain, certainly not the best of performance scenarios!
