Hi guys i was wondering if and how to could assign system effects settings to sliders. For instance i want to assign reverb time and return to a slider. Can i do that if so how. I know i can assign reverb as a whole to a slider i was wondering if you could actually assign the reverb settings to a slider.

Ah.. great question. The parameters you mentions (reverb return/time) are not standard targets for the knobs/sliders. You can however use the NRPN to control them with the knobs/sliders.  Unfortunately I am somewhat of a MIDIOT, so HOW to do this exactly, I do not know. The MIDI implementation guide is a good place to start...

Starting on page 51, it lists the effect paramater codes.

Hopefully someone will be able to give you more clear instructions.

Hope some of you pros can chime in here. I was trying to figure out a way to turn the arpeggiator on/off with pedal 2.

Reason is, I wanted to pitch bend a note using pedal 2.

I'm new to keyboards like this so it took me a while to figure out you couldn't set any control to pitch bend. You can only bend via the bend wheel.

So as a work around I created a 4 step arp, and set it to control>only [bend] which bends up and down a small amount and back to zero.

It works great but I was wondering if it was possible to use pedal 2 to turn it on and off.

Yes you can turn the arpeggiator off and on with the foot switch.  The following is to activate it while the foot switch is down.  When it's up, its off.

choose your stage setting.

[Edit] > Stage Setting > Zone Edit > Controller Edit > Pedal2 Enable [On]

Cursor Down 2 > Arpeggio Enable [On]

Cursor Right > Arpeggio Select > Target [Arp]

Select your arpeggio number; use the cursor keys to select any other arpeggio/phrase settings

[Exit] all the way out

[Edit] > Stage Setting > Common Edit > Pedal2 Edit > Cursor Left > Mode [Momentary] > Cursor Right > Pedal Target Edit > Target[ARP Hold On/Off] (use plus minus keys to select)
