stienwayz
Hi, First time poster here but long-time Casio fan. I have a PX-3 keyboard and I want to buy the stand for it. The manuel says to buy the CS-67P Stand... All over eBay I am seeing CS-67. Is this basically the same stand? What is different, and if I buy the CS-67, will that fit with the PX-3? I plan to also buy the SP-32 3-pedal unit and I'll be set. Ericwww.youtube.com/ReturnOfTheStienway
Null
Get yourself one of these instead. http://www.amazon.com/Stage-KS7350-Heavy-Folding-Keyboard/dp/B000LCRP14/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402940179&sr=8-1&keywords=onstage+z+stand I own their two tier model and it is solid as a rock. I DESPISE wobbly keyboard stands and the PX-3 is a stage piano so you really shouldn't try and whore it up and make it look like furniture. A proper professional Z stand is going to be rock steady for a lifetime and as a bonus if you ever get a second keyboard you can attach a second tier to this one no problem. stienwayz
I would have responded sooner, but CASIO doesn't notify you of people responding to your thread. That stand looks nice but I really just want something to work with the 3 pedals
Null
You can turn your forum notifications on or off from your preferences page from the upper right corner menu of the forum page. As for the SP-32 pedals, they should be trivial to shorten at the ends and modify to fit the Onstage Stand. For that matter are you even certain the SP-32 pedals will work with the PX-3 stage piano? If the PX-5S is any indication it won't support a full set of piano pedals either. Gary
Null
I've done some research. The SP-32 pedals do work with the PX-3 but they have a reputation for being cheap plastic that tends to break easily. I can't find any videos of mods or DIY layouts but if I were doing it myself, I'd consider just buying the pedal assembly, stripping out the guts, and mounting them in a compact plywood box that would be more durable and more compact that I could use with any stand I'd choose. It's a shame when companies like Casio use proprietary bull**** like this to add on to their products instead of going with industry standard connections and allowing the use of aftermarket accessories. stienwayz
Thanks for the replies Gary. Yeah I have checked that the SP-32 pedals do work with the PX-3. It is in the manual. It is kinda odd, but they use the same special connector, which is in a completely un-related input spot on the bottom of the board, that similar Privias use. The quailty of the pedals is something of a concern... they do look kinda cheap and I have also played on similar pedals like that and they don't feel nice. Right now I'm waiting on it
