Oscope
Hi All New Kid on the Block with a questionMy studio Keyboard was a bit dated so I bought a new PX5 for my studio My keyboard player has his own PX5 and ultimately I would like to just copy the stage settings from his PX5 and put them on mine.Any help to do do this would be appreciated Thanks Tom
Brad Saucier
Welcome Tom, Easy as pie. You need a thumb drive formatted FAT32 that contains a folder named MUSICDAT. Put that thumb drive in the other PX5s and press and hold the media button. When it's done "mounting media" go down to save and press enter then go down to all data and press enter. It will give you an opportunity to rename the file or go with the default name. Press enter and you're set. Take it to your PX5s and follow the same procedure, except this time choose load on the media page and then go to all data. Don't worry about overwriting your factory settings because the board has an initialize(reset) if you ever need it.
Oscope
Brad..... Thanks so much for the lightning quick response You Da Man ! Just talking to my keyboard player and he brought up a good question His PX5 is at Ver 1.10 and I have updated mine to Ver 1.12 I assume this does not effect the Stage settings being ported back and forth but maybe the Tone section engine Is that a good assumption ? Brad Saucier
Tone wise everything is the same between V1.10 and 1.12. You'll be safe to transfer everything. If it were older than version 1.10 then yes. Wave numbering was different due to some samples being added. Why has he not updated to V1.12?
