dlm
Looking if someone has developed the following sounds (stage settings) for the px-5s : 1) This synth sound is AWESOME! (LOVERBOY'S "Working for the Weekend") (Copy and paste to address bar to find this video) If a Roland can do it, A CASIO HAS TO DO IT!!! 2) How about this sound? (RUSH'S "Subdivisions") (Listen at beginning & listen at 2:24) Again, CASIO > ROLAND!!!! 3) Also looking for the "JUMP" sound from Van Halen I know, I AM LAME!!! ......Everybody overplays this song! ....but hey...I tried to program a GM saw wave with the 7-7 setting on the px-5s...but didn't sound close enough Would love feedback if anyone knows of any existing stage settings that are even close .. Thanks in advance!
Brad Saucier
These are all 7-7 Polysynth. Don't change the tone to GM Saw wave. Leave it as Zone 1 Tone. Thats a custom hex tone. Tweak all sliders and knobs until it sounds right to you. The screen will tell you what each knob or slider is doing.
dlm
Whoa! Really? OKAY, I'll mess around with it and see what happens.... Thanks , Brad!
Brad Saucier
I finally got my internet to let me listen to the videos. So to clarify..... 7-7 Polysynth is pretty much spot on for Jump as is but you can tweak it more to taste with the sliders and knobs. The Loverboy tune may need deeper editing but it's doable in this stage setting. The Rush song should also be doable with 7-7. May need deep tweaks there too. dc2k
I remember Mike nearly broke into "Jump" in one his videos when demo-ing 7-7 but quickly stopped himself
