pianicaman350
Interesting that a "gig piano" would not have balanced in's and out's.I added some tiny balancing transformers to some equipment I had. Cost about $1 each. That would be $4 per unit. How big are the screws that hold the PX-350 to the CS-67? Look like they are 3mm x 12mm. garysch
Thanks for your post. I was tracking down a hum in my PAs (balanced) with my new PX-3 and had come to the conclusion that it, too, was unbalanced. What transformers did you use and from where did you get them? I was just going to ground the unused wire at the Privia end.Gary
pianicaman350
I got them at a electronics store that no longer exits.I used them in a Peavy Aux phatom power box with an old Sony video camera. I was picking up all kinds of noise before I added the little transformers. They were 1/2" cubes, with three taps. I wired them into the circuit board ahead of the in/out jacks. Cured the problem for me.Here's a great link to the answer. http://www.jensen-transformers.com/apps_wp.html Especially articals# AN002 and AN003
garysch
Appreciate your response. I know about the Jensen transformers, which is why I was interested in a much less expensive solution. I'll post back if I find a reasonable alternative.
