XW-Addict
I'm used to the G1 by now and learned to make patches for the kind of music I want. I've used almost all features that can be approached directly. The many buttons and sliders on the G1 are partly assignable but not in a range which I think should have been there for instance. I like how the sliders can be used for the Solo Synth part specifically for the G1, As well in addition the sliders be programmed triggering functions on or off , transpose or mix. Its great to directly manipulate a solo part or drum sequence with the sliders but I also discover it happens for the solo synth and step sequence like a function for the far more left side of the synth . Here is the thing when I create a performance patch I can do the mixing for step sequence with the sliders and knobs I'll get the swing of things by that but then I want to diversify the use of arpeggio and phrase patterns. The great part is I can select a phrase before hand and record a new one on the fly in my patch. But then I want another pattern change and that is not possible, its not an included part for arpeggio or phrases. It would be great to switch between two phrases or arpeggio , Its possible to have assignable knobs switching arpeggio but you get the whole list I would prefer a selection for this. If I could switch to a part where I can have the sliders switch between my own selection of phrases and patterns would be more user elegant then using multi-part to switch to another performance patch eating up key-space. I have not tried using Midi , NRPN yet still figuring midi out but I am glad to discover there are other options to approach things and have to admit the versatility Casio have here. Null
You could simply copy your performance to the next one over, then add your arp or phrase to the new perfromance. Easy peasy. Gary
XW-Addict
You could simply copy your performance to the next one over, then add your arp or phrase to the new perfromance. Easy peasy. Gary Mmyeah tried that but it takes my full key 61 range when I use two octaves from lower key's for phrase and bass and another two octaves for leads and pads, seems enough it will be diminish to 49 key's not much for playing unless its manageble with two octave for simple repetitive music. Come to think of it its all I do :\ still have one octave left for the upper keys for multi-key functions for switching. Wait a minute ) what am I talking about of course that will work I can switch phrases and tone switching with multi-key LOL thank you happyrat1 seems I have not give it much though here I was worried about just having 61 key's for all that when I could hook it up to another keyboard or PS5.
