XW-Addict
Founded there is some difference between the high end effect capabilities from the XW and CTK series. Both do have nice DSP added , assignable to instruments in the mixer and editable to store and recall you're own user definable. Each tone can be stored with or without an effect for preferences also nice. However the XW can store chorus and dsp together which the ctk workstation can't this makes the differences really a world apart from the XW synth class keyboards to the CTK workstations. In my opinion the insert effectsin XW are more versatile but I can't be sure as I don't know how the lates CTK handle this like 6250 which seemsto sound bigger and more expanded then its 7000 siblings. Although the CTK may be medium workstation classes. It looks in the rank of Casio keyboards the XW more high end incapabilities which makes the PX5S an even bigger top-notch product in enhanced effect capabilities (I said it once and I'llsay it again the PX5S does not under perform far compared to say a Kronos the sonic sounds in between just as good inthe synth part of it). Off course there are more factor in comparison to what each keyboard can but that makes them suitable for what they can do. But to be honest Casio is a bit of an odd one look at it a synthesizer with an organ part added like the P1 , A workstationwith an organ part like some CTK , A stage piano with a synth part like the PX5S certainly love it but its odd. Except the G1 it is what it is the only thing it could do better is faster loading and storing of samples and could do with a directunified sample bank per track playback for each recording/sample to loop each sample bank and record a bank on the fly.Keyboard with more potential and missing that itsy bitsy last step making something awesome with less.
