Display Name
Did you know the XW-P1 and XW-G1 send arpeggio data out via MIDI? This makes for some very cool possibilities for using the XW's with your other gear. With the advent of MIDI, lots of 80's synths didn't have arpeggiators. Now you can breathe new life into those DX-7s, D-50s and other gear! This is a brief demo using the XW-G1 to trigger the Volca Keys analog synth. This will work with the XW-P1 & PX-5S as well...
Null
Here's a man who's willing to die for his art Gary (Yeah yeah it's not Casio but it's so KEWL... Besides, hook up a PX-5S as your controller and you'll blow them away at thunderdome )
Display Name
For those of you new to arpeggiators and want to learn more about them, I found a very informative page at:http://oreilly.com/digitalmedia/2006/06/29/secrets-of-the-arpeggiator.htmlThe other really cool thing about the arpeggiator is it syncs to the XW step sequencer, external drum machines, bass modules or even other machines arpeggiators.. so you will always be in time with the music. This opens up a lot of opens up a lot of musical doors, especially if you know some nice chord progressions. Even if your playing chops aren't the best, if you can just hit the chords you can sound really good.
