slowriffman
Hello, can anyone tell me if they have experienced the following please and if so, do they know of a solution? My PX-330 has this week developed the following faults: 1. The 'soft/sostenuto' pedal assign changes itself to 'soft' undemanded.2. When I can set the function to 'sos', the sustain only sustains the first key/chord that is played.
cpcohen
The way a sostenuto pedal is supposed to work: . . . It sustains the notes that are held down _at the moment the pedal is pressed_. So if you play a C chord and hold it, and press and hold the sostenuto pedal, . . . and then play a G chord with the pedal down, . . . . . . the G chord will not be sustained. That's the way it's supposed to work. It's _not_ a "damper" pedal. That pedal lifts _all_ the (virtual) dampers, so any note struck, while the pedal is down, will be sustained. . slowriffman
Thankfully it was therefore just a case of my plugging the sustain pedal into the wrong socket. Valuable lesson learnt. Many thanks Charles, very much appreciated and thanks for posting the answer. Clive
