pax-eterna
I am trying to have a split with piano left and bass right (or vice versa) however while I can get the bass to stay on it's panned setting (IE no audio in the opposite pan), the piano still is audible in both left and right even though the pan is either far left or far right? Can anyone help with this? Effects have been zeroed to remove them from the problem.
pianomax
I suggest that you check the Dynamic Panning is switched off in the Piano Tone.

pax-eterna
Seems Dynamic Panning is set to off by default. I just checked through several SS's using pianos and it is off on all of them. So no solution. Thanks anyway.
Choppin
It might depend on the piano. I think the main piano is sampled and built to graduate from left to right. look for a Mono piano tone. Assumingly that will give you the flexibility you need. Perhaps Piano > 008 or 009
Brad Saucier
Right. The stereo tones will not pan left or right. Stereo DSP effects also will not pan left or right. Use the mono piano tones.
pax-eterna
Thanks Choppin and Brad. I settled for assigning sliders 5+6 to volume and one to each part...sorta does the same thing really. However your advice is noted and appreciated for future setups

Thanks anyway.Yes, I finally had time to try it myself too and, regardless how it is set, I can still pan each Zone from the Mixer, so it is strange but I cannot reproduce your problem.@BradMZ: looking at the PX5 User Guide (Tutorial) Diagram on page E-7 I see that you can pan any DSP effect, provided you set the Pan position parameter to "Post DSP"; System and Master effects of course can't.
