Synch arpeggio of hex layer with an external midi clock

I'm trying to synch the arpeggio of an hex layer (magicx stage setting) with an external keyboard (korg microarranger) throught iconnectMIDi2+. The microarranger sends a midi clock to the ipad and the privia. The ipad app (ielectribe) that I'm using is perfectly synced with the korg microarranger ( I can even use the dial of the korg to change the tempo of the drum machine). The problem that I'm having is that when I set the synch as slave in the privia (sys setting menu) the arpeggio of the hex layer is lost and i can hear only one layer (strings). I am not sure if the privia is receiving the midi clock from the korg arranger ( I know the privia is sending chords to the arranger because is shown on the display of the korg) and I will find out with some experiments (I can change routing paths in iconnectmidi2+). However the thing that bothers me is the fact tha the arpeggio is completely lost and also other instruments when the synch is set as slave and I play a chord on the privia. I understand that the privia is waiting for a clock from an external source and possibly the clock is not received by the privia but it seems strange to me that all other hex layers sounds are muted except the string (or maybe are pads, not sure). I have more experiments to do, however I was wondering if somebody else tried to synch an arpeggio of an hex layer with an external midi clock source and was successful in controlling the parameter tempo of the arpeggio. I only tried to change the parameter synch in the sys setting menu and no other settings. There is something else that I need to change to control it ? Not sure my interpretation of the menu entry is correct. I will look at the manual, perform some other experiments and play with the settings of the privia however I would like to hear about the experience of somebody else in this forum that attempted to synch the privia with an external source. Thank you for reading this long post and hopefully I'm not asking again a question that was fully answered in the past !
