Billylawton
Hi all - newbie to the Privia. I love it but would like to download some of the great sounds I've seen on the forum. Problem is I only have a Mac and not a windows Pc. When I load the files I've downloaded onto my USB a stick and load into the keyboard via media as instructed the keyboard doesn't see the files, even though I know they are on there. Is it because it needs to be a windows formatted usb stick?Or alternatively can I connect my Mac directly to the Privia and load them somehow that way?Any help most welcome. Thank youBilly
Brad Saucier
The USB needs to be formatted FAT32 and contain a folder named MUSICDAT. You can format the thumb drive on the PX-5s. Press and hold the media button and select FORMAT from the menu. It will do everything for you. It will also delete the contents of the drive so make sure you don't lose anything. IMPORTANT!!.......Place your sounds in the MUSICDAT folder in order for the PX-5s to see them.
Joe Muscara
What Brad said. I'm a Mac user, and have never had any problems loading sounds onto the USB stick and getting them into the PX-5S.
