PX-5S vs Roland FA-08

Hi everybody, I'm new to this world. I currently do not own any keyboard but have whittled down to the PX-5S and the FA-08.

Is there anybody in this forum who owns or has experience with both of them?

Obviously have a nice piano sound is very important. I have yet to manage to play each one in person, so far it's all via the WWW / youtube etc.

From what i hear there I'd prefer the Casio. What makes me wiggle is the various goodies the Roland brings, like sequencer and pads and such things.

I'd love to hear some thoughts opinions who actually have played and used those 2 keyboards.

tx.

I have a PX-5S and have tried the Roland. Did not like the Roland action or  the piano sound nearly as much as the Privia. For the extra $800 that the Roland costs you can get a loaded iPad and a lot of apps to handle the workstation functions. The real nice part about that is YOU get to choose the sequencer: you're not locked into the FA firmware and you can use the iPad for a ton of other stuff. Of course if you have an iPad you can spend the $800 on something else (or save it).

BTW - I am not anti-Roland. I have a D-50 and the first gen Fantom workstation (FA-76).

Just to remind you folks.......the roland piano's are out of tune

I have been harping about this for a while

but then I saw a roland video with 5 roland experts and to my great surprise one of the guys pointed out the faulty tuning and like me went ahead and tested it.

If you have a roland piano, test it with a tuner or just listen to the "beats" as you run up in 5th's.
