getting phasing problem with Addictive Keys vsti

When using the PX-5S as a midi controller and playing Addictive Keys on my Windows 8 laptop, I'm getting a phasing effect-- like two copies of the piano sound are playing at the same time.  I've gone into System Settings/MIDI and changed local on to "off", high resolution out to "off", and other midi settings that should not matter.  I'm using a midi out cable to my Nativie Instruments Komplete Audio 6 interface.  There is no midi "in" cable going into the PX-5S and I don't have usb connected at all.  I use Sampletank 3 vsti using the same setup and don't have this problem.  I have even re-installed Addictive Keys and that didn't fix it.  Also, if I play the virtual keyboard in the software with my mouse clicks, the notes sound properly, but playing the same notes with the PX-5S brings back the phasy sound.

Thanks for any solution to this.

Problem fixed.  I had 2 zones turned on at a new stage setting I was staying on.  That was sending 2 midi signals to my vsti, causing the phasing effect.  I'm new to the PX-5S and I have a lot to learn about it

Hi Jim and welcome to the Casio Forums. As you found out, multizone stage settings will send duplicate messages. One thing I have done with my most commonly used VST's and apps:  I map all the sliders and knobs to the VST's controls  and then save that as a Stage Setting named for the VST/app it controls - makes it easy to just call up the SS and have it ready to go.

And yes - Come join our PX-5S Facebook Group!   :)
