Null
Swinging little tune Hugh. I don't think you're going to put any vocalists out of work with your singing though I gave ya a like on Soundcloud. Gary

Null
No problem Hugh. Honestly you don't have a bad voice. You can carry a note. But it's a little thin and weak. All you'd really need is a bit of professional coaching to work on your strengths and develop a style that suits your voice. Fred Schneider of the B-52's and Stan Ridgeway of the Wall of Voodoo don't exactly put the angels to shame either but they manage to carry a tune and a following with stylistic vocals. Maybe if you added a bit of a rasp and focused more closely on bringing out your bass tones you could write something that would sound as good as any pop star But if you wanna hear a 14 year old Canadian girl with a hell of a set of pipes look up Nikki Yanofsky on Youtube. I'm listening to her right now. Incredible vocal range for a child. Gary
Hugh O Kelly
I'm afraid Gary it will need a little more than coaching. To be honest it is like someone took away all the warm sweet frequency from my voice with a graphic equaliser.I must face up to it and know that it is passable in a deaf home. I'll concentrate on the playing.........Thanks She is very good..third tune......eat your heart out
Null
Fear not. There's always vocal effects processors that can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse :D Gary

Hugh O Kelly
Well if you had a voice like mine, there is little else to doI have not taken the comments about my voice too seriously Does anyone know a high bridge around here ? Null
Trust me. You're not the only one with a voice like a rusty gate. 45 years of chain smoking takes its toll. Plus it's a much more relaxed way to kill myself than jumping off a bridge... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZQctG3gjx4 Gary

Null
Thanks Hugh The vocals worked better this time. The echo helped. And the choice of material works for your vocal range. I got a sort of Randy Newman vibe from it. Keep hammering away at it man. You're showing progress. Gary
