steadphil Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 Anybody got any suggestions as to why I can't use my user hex layer sounds in my song patterns, I have entered the bank select, program change numbers as per the online casio manual but my hex layers sounds don't appear at the bottom of the screen where it tells you which instrument will play for each track. Brad Saucier Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 I assume you mean the PX-5s song sequencer? Hex layer tones are only allowed on channels 1 and 2 of the sound generator. Choppin Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 What Brad said. By default, the song sequencer tracks 1-8 are assigned to midi channels 5-12. Change any of the tracks' midi channel to 1 or 2 and you can use bank 97 hex layers on them. Depending on how you are using the keyboard with the song sequencer, this setting may have an effect on zones 1-4 which by default transmit on channels 1-4 and can be changed; but always receive on channels 1-4. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
