midi information in stage setting?

Is it possible to dedicate a stage setting to trigger sounds from another keyboard?

I have been using my my Nord E3 and my px-5s together via midi. When I want to trigger the Nord sounds I need to change some of the the settings in my Casio's Midi menu (local off and midi key, etc). It would be great to just have all that information stored in a stage setting, so just a push of that button would allow me to switch back and forth easily.

Thank you,

Steve

Absolutely!  This is one of the PX-5s strengths.  Each zone in a stage setting has independant midi settings.  Each zone has local off.  Called "Gen Out".

Edit>stage setting>zone edit>midi edit>......(adjust the settings and exit edit mode)  Write the stage setting.

Gen out> turns on/off internal sounds

Midi out >switches midi din out

Usb out >switches usb

Just need some more information regarding a stage setting dedicated to midi triggering of my Nord.

Brad, thanks for your help in the last post and I realize it's been a while since I wrote back. I must be missing something since, I am not getting any sound with these settings.

Triggering the Nord works when I change the midi setting in the System Settings menu, but I can't seem to get it working with changing the settings within a particular stage setting. The Midi light on my Nord is not flashing as it should and no sound is produced.

I have:

Gen out - off

Midi out - off

Usb out - off

Prog & Bank Out (Prg) or (Bnk) or (Off)

Is there something else? I'm using the Air E. Piano1 for this stage setting I want to change. All the other zones are set to off.

Thanks!

@dama

Make sure:

[sys Settings] > MIDI > MIDI Out [Key]

[EDIT] > Stage Settings > Zone > MIDI Edit > External Channel Out [whatever channel you select] Nord must be able to receive this channel.

[EDIT] > Stage Settings > Zone > MIDI Edit > Genterator out [Off]... MIDI Out [On]

Use the zone + and - keys to switch between the 4 zones of the stage setting and change the settings.  You'll see a Z1, Z2, Z3 or Z4 in upper right of the display as you change zones.

[Write] the stage setting after making you changes.
