Jim Oran
Hello everyone, I am new to the Forum and already happy to be a part of it. I have a Privia, Px 575R and have been trying to add some new tones and rhythms online to the keyboard. I am using Music data management software and tried to download some packages and tones from Casio music site. I have no idea what to do after the download and the file type is ckf. and no idea about that either. Can someone please help me out with this issue on what is the best way to do it. This is all new to me and I just want to add some packages and new sounds to my keyboard. Thanks !
Brad Saucier
Ok. I'll try to get you going. The checklist..... You have the IDES software made for your model? http://music.casio.com/e/data_ex4/ You have the proper usb driver installed for your operating system and keyboard model and the keyboard is connected? http://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=20 You have the manual to describe the steps needed? http://support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/008/PX410R_EN.pdf#page=79 http://support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/008/PX410R_EN.pdf#page=81

Brad Saucier
They have a manual for the software too. It opens in a web browser. That might help. http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/emi/music_casio/en/ides40man-en.zip In general, the downloaded sounds you have should go into a folder that the program uses. The Music Data Manager preferences directory (under "file") should show that folder name and location. I think the software creates the folder for you when it installs. To install your sounds, choose the category type from the drop down menu. Click and drag the files. Your computer files will be in the left pane and the keyboard memory will be on the right.
Jim Oran
Thanks Brad! I got it working. I just had to relocate the folder and made sure that the file is placed there. Thanks a lot for your help!
Jokeyman123
i have a few posts here somewhere about the PX575 I purchased just a few months ago. Might be some stuff you might find helpful. Not about the IDES software, you seem to have that under control. More about the sequence recording and a few other things I discovered. And even though I have the PX350 which is another wonderful keyboard, I love the PX575. It is similar to the WK3300 as far as functions, rhythms and tones. I have managed to record a few simple multi-track arrangements with it and it sounds real nice. And thanks BradMZ for posting the links.

Just a quickie, Is the PX410R purchased in Thailand the same board as the PX575 in other countries? I have similar issues as the above. Thanks in advance
