Accidentally created a bizarre but cool motion sequence with arpeggio.

Recommended Posts

I was playing a performance which sounded smooth as a  bit trimmed down laid back something.

https://soundcloud.com/clay-louis-petty/tell-me-2-hold-on-live-performance

The performance patch has a deep gong bass sound I played with it a lot having fun with it and then

I had the though to try the arpeggio on it because lately I used the phrase sequence a lot (bless that function),

I had several altered arpeggio for which I wanted to edit to find a nice arp thing going then while going through

the user preset I stumbled on one in particular that gave the performance patch that analog kinda deep roaring

thingie I was like what the F*ck was the XW doing this.

I should do more with it maybe create it into a solosynth what do you guys think do you have something like this

is it worth the effort.

!!! Warning be "Careful" with headphones on or with speakers !!!

I like the tune a lot.  It's a really nice piece of work.

One thing though.  You might want to check your pitch wheel.  When I tried playing along on my Oxygen controller and my laptop I noticed that your tuning was just a smidge flat.

I'll check it out on my other keyboards later on tonight, but I think your pitch controller is starting to drift.

I checked it out against all of my other keyboards as well.

The pitch on your piece is slightly detuned.

It's probably no more than a few cents, but it's enough to be noticeable.

Unless this is a particular effect you were going for,  I'd check it against a tuning standard to see.

Usually this kind of thing happens when the pitch wheel begins to slip or fail.

Its an under construction patch I've adjusted so much patches to find a good tuning might could have adjusted global M.Coarse from Settings.

I experiment with that a lot also and forget to set it back at standards most of my patches are a bit off... <_<  that why tuning them

takes long got few more patches to go through each one of them not set correctly.

I'll look into it Gary the tuning wasn't so happy about it and noticed the same thing. Somehow switching Performance,Tone and

Sseq also changes things in the synth was annoyed and addressed it with global tuning and such. Also do lots of octave switching

and transposing which I forget to center back again. :).

*Edit I've temporarily set  M.coarse to +2 from general setting tuned in with the px5 I do not know yet why its of by 2 cents

Thanks Larry I usually use the vibe to work with if finding how a Performance connect to a certain step sequence and listening to

various music this was the tune that came top of my mind to copy :).

*edit I've tried to recreate this performance with the PX5S noticed it needs a different approach recreating a pad that sounds equally, Up to the learning curve again.
