Hugh O Kelly
I've got my PX5s midi ed to Logic and in Logic it says GM Device So I call up a STAGE SETTING made up of say a mix of three pianos. The Logic is set up to receive all 16 channels at once but it will not play back a mix of three pianos but GM internal sounds from the PX5s Why? and how can I get it to play my mix of three pianos ? Joe Muscara
The one aspect of Logic that I have not played with. If I get a chance, I will give it a whirl sometime and let you know.

Joe Muscara
You posted that just as I was getting home due to the flooding here. Sorry, I'll still be a while. We're fine, but I'm wiped out.

Hugh O Kelly
I was taking to my other friend John in Texas "Yes, floods all around us but not at my house as the area we live is at a slightly higher elevation..I wasn't too concerned with flooding but more so tornados..I received an emergency alert on my cellphone on Saturday evening saying we had tornados in our area so myself, wife, the 2 dogs and the bird were all huddled in the hallway away from any windows..That was a scary 20 minutes or so..Anyway, it's all good now but expecting round 2 starting Friday I think..Thanking you so much for thinking of us" Sounds bad there
BrianH
Sorry to read about your flooding Joe - I have not had the pleasure myself, but have had family members who have and I know it is extremely upsetting. Glad you and the family are OK.
BrianH
Just reread above and see that you didn't get flooded personally, just the tornado scare!!!!! We get very strong winds at times here, 125mph was worst in last 10 years, that was scary enough.
Joe Muscara
Thanks, guys. We were at the Rockets game when the storms hit Monday night. I thought it would be the usual - storms blow through, maybe have to wait a little at the arena until it was clear enough to walk back to the car. Instead, we were there until 230 AM and didn't get home until after 430 due to flooded roads and another strong cell that came through while we were deciding which way to go. So we parked at a high spot and waited for a bit. That might not have been so bad except we were getting reports on Facebook of houses down the block from ours with water getting in them so we had some worries. Fortunately everything was fine when we got home. Even screwier is that even though you're hearing reports about flooding in Texas, the storms near Austin are three hours drive away and happened a few days before Houston got hit. I guess it might have been the same weather patterns, but only slightly. While we were predicted to get storms Monday night, nothing like that was expected. Hugh O Kelly
Scott,I will do my best; No one likes going into the environment in logicbut here goes (I use the USB) 1 create new blank logic2 under track create "External midi" (now all hell breaks loose) 3,Go into the environment window.......you will see the mixer4,Top left......come out of mixer into "MIDI instr"5,delete what you see so the whole window is blank......not for the faint hearted6,Now under "new" press "multi instrument"7,you will notice 16 channels crosses out8,un-cross 1,2,3 and 4 and in the main window in logic rename them to what they are on the casio.ie Ch.1 drums ch.2 piano,ch 3 bass ch 4 whatever.. Thats it Brief overviewWhat just happened is that a new midi set up was created with channel 1 through 4What is nice is you can then record from one to four tracks at the same time and have control from logic or the casio.ps You can rename "multi instrument" and call it My Casio.....it will come up in the main window. Hope this makes sense because it is not easy. (Glad that cop got fired in Texas,or did he leave?I'm surprised he didn't take out an AK47 to break up a kids party! )
Joe Muscara
Fortunately, McKinney is over 260 miles from here. Unfortunately, that kind of behavior by a cop is too common in the U.S. and could have happened anywhere. I don't think all cops are bad, far from it. I think most of them mean well at the very least. But I think the problem is systemic and we have to find ways to make cops handle situations better, as I think they're generally trained this way. Enough of that!! I'm more glad that you got it sorted. I was just thinking I needed to look at this for you.
Hugh O Kelly
If his teenage sons and daughters are naughty,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what does he do.........shoot them.....take out his bazooka ! There is a level which the cops take out their weapons....say 1 to 10but that even wasn't even a 1 on the other hand;I have noticed the public increasingly disrespectful to the police But there is NO excuse to take a gun out with kids
Hugh O Kelly
One great thing about linking the PX 5s to logicissometimes I might write a good drum trackbut on the Casio I can't edit itWhen you record your own drum tracks you can edit it all you likeHandy
