daven34ar
Hi allI´m the owner of two Casio keyboards, WK-3800 and WK-7500.Since the old WK-3800 has much better speaker quality (frecuency response, basses and trebles ) ,I was wondering about hearing WK-7500´s sounds through the 3800´s speakers.But.... WK-3800 hasn´t a "Line In" or "Audio In" jack .Is it possible to add this INPUT?Any suggestion..Thanks Daniel
Display Name
Sure it's possible if you know what you're doing -- I've seen all kinds of mods to Casios and other gear. Again, you need to be skilled at this or you could end up frying your keyboard. Also realize you void any warranty (if applicable) and do this at your own risk. My favorite Casio project:

- T -
Daven The audio system (pre-amps, power amps, speakers) of the WK-3800 were designed more along the lines of an average boom-box, while those of the newer CTK/WK-6XXX/7XXX models were designed more along the lines of a high quality book-shelf stereo system. This is the difference you are hearing between your WK-7500 and your WK-3800. The WK-3800 will have more "boomy" bass response. If you had the latest WK-7600, you might be able to tweak its EQ to compensate for this a bit, but our WK-7500's do not have this feature. Since you have stated in another post on this forum that you spent two years obtaining the WK-3800 to replace the WK-3300 that you gave up for the WK-7500, I would recommend purchasing an inexpensive boom-box to connect your WK-7500's line-outs into, rather than risking the permanent disabling of your "hard won" WK-3800 by trying to kludge an audio-in connection into it - particularly if you have no experience with reading schematics and relating them to actual circuit board layouts and precision circuit board modification and soldering.
