deckard1
Hi, I just purchased a Casio CDP-130 yesterday. I really love the digital piano but there is a chime when using the metronome. I read the manual, but, still cannot figure out how to turn off the chime on the metronome. I called Casio customer support too and they said to post on the Casio music forums. Can someone please help me out? The chime is driving me bonkers. Thanks.
Joe Muscara
Do you mean the triangle sound that it plays on the one? *Ding* donk donk donk. If it's like the other Casios I've played, it may just be that way.
deckard1
It says on page 10 of the manual for the CDP-130 that the triangle sound that plays on the one can be removed. I am following the instructions on how to remove it but it is not working. Any advice?
Joe Muscara
Selecting 0 (zero) means there is no one, thus no chime/triangle. Can you get the other metronome settings to work so that it counts in 1 (all chimes), 2, 3, 4, etc.?
Brad Saucier
And now for my public service announcement.... Casio calls them "bell" and "click" sounds. You are welcome.
Bashrc
deckard1, did you ever figure out this one? I have the same problem: no way to change or to eliminate the chime in the metronome. Followed instructions but does not work.
Bashrc
Amazing, five seconds after posting I succeeded: 1) turn on metronome 2) keep "function key" pressed while: 2.1) press and release "BAR/BEATS" in the keyboard. This is the step that I was missing (but note it is in the instructions). 2.2) press and release "0" in the keyboard. 3) release the "function key". Lissa
Please share your experience deckard1 how you fixed that....??
RWise
I had the same problem. Read the manual and tried to follow the instructions, no luck! The instructions don't really make it clear that BAR/BEATS is a separate key function setting. I thought it was just a label, doh! Bashrc's post cleared it up for me. Thanks!!
