Maiku3000
Here's some patches I made. 3 are hex layer patches and 1 is a solo synth patch. They're seperate user bank patches so you don't need to "Load All" just to load them onto your synth - you can load them one at a time. One of them is a dubstep "wub" kind of patch but it's a digital pulse wave so it doesn't really "wub" as much as cycle up and down sharply. You can control the speed of it with the mod wheel. The pitch bends at the very bottom notch of the mod wheel range, though. There's one that sounds like the one from NIN's "Suck", another that's crippled and crusty sounding and the effect varies from note to note. I forgot what the 4th one is but they should be a lot of fun to play with. I use them in my own music but I don't care if you use them in your music, too. No copyright bs or anything like that. Doesn't bother me. Post here and let me know if you like them or not - I'm excited to hear what everyone thinks of them!XWP1MaikuPatches.zip
XW-Addict
LFO is ideal for some added wobble to you're patches by assigning CC message VibRate, VibDelay for the knobs. It's easy adding these patches to the P1 download section of this forum that way everyone can find them, This postprobably can get lost when other post stack up when users seek for new sounds..
Maiku3000
That's a good idea, XW-Addict. I was kind of thinking about making a more "wobbly" wub patch instead of the digital up and down but I thought it was fun to play with so I thought I'd share it anyway. I'm sure other people could come up with a more authentic dubstep patch. I'll work on one myself. I like to listen to dubstep but I don't make my own. I mostly do industrial and atmospheric stuff. Probably why I wasn't so good at making a dubstep patch since I like to play with it for fun instead of use it for actual dubstep tracks. I have a similar patch that syncs the LFO to the beat but I have to go into the menus and use the jog wheel to alter the timing. Other than that patch, I hope the others are fun. I highly encourage tweaking and modifying my patches. I bet the XW geniuses out there can do some cool stuff with 'em. Or, more likely, they already have better patches of their own. Oh, well. I'm fairly new to the keyboard so maybe I think these patches are more fun than they actually are. Thanks for the suggestion about the LFO patch. I'll definately work on a better one.
