eightyeightkeys
Just purchased the PX/5S and am using it strictly as a MIDI keyboard with Cubase 8 Pro. Everything is working as it should except I noticed that, with every track I record, the Casio is sending data I'venever seen before. That is, MIDI CC, controller #88 ? I looked up the tables fir this but it is "unspecified" and seems to be with every Note-on, Note Off. Anyone know how to turn this off ? Joe Muscara
CC88 is a newer addition to the MIDI spec so older MIDI documents don't have it and older gear and software doesn't always know how to use it or uses it for something else. If you don't need it or it conflicts, you can to go into the settings of the PX-5S and turn off High Resolution MIDI (or similar, I don't remember offhand exactly). There is software such as Pianoteq that can use it though.
