Need help on editing Tones from Performance

Hi,

I am trying to do something simple but I give up and need your help.

Let's say I program a performance with 4 zones. Each Zone has a dedicated Tone .eg

Zone 1 -> "A" tone

Zone 2 -> "B" tone

Zone 3 -> "C" tone

Zone 4 -> "D" tone

The question is :

How can I switch FROM Performance TO "B" or "C" or "D" tone so I can edit the tone?

Every time I switch to Tone mode I get the "A" from Zone 1. :wacko:

Thanks,

I hoped for a workaround . I have to change zone 1 tone , select the tone I have on other zone , edit/save, then re-select the original tone I had in zone 1 and return to performance mode.....

It could be more simple. Select a zone on performance mode and when switching to Tone mode , I should see the corresponding tone...

Zone one indeed is the only zone for editing tones outside the performance mode hah look at that didn't payed attention,

Tones for zones 2 ,3 and 4 need to be already edited and saved in user slots to use them in performance mode.

Its kinda a sloppy method as a complaint it should be part of performance mode to store user tones sets with their specific tone value's.

Editing individual tones is a powerful asset with XW but using them in performance can be a bit overwhelming if the edit tone library expands even more. It means

you have to save that library and keep it in its specific order if there are performance patches that use them. I've work around using smaller library of 15 tones for a specific genre or soundscape. Something done only with the editor.

I was hoping for an firmware update simplifying this.

I'll try the editor ,but I rarely use the on-board sounds when plugged to a PC... :rolleyes:

Thank you for clarifying this issue.

I also get mad when I accidentally press the "osc block" / "env generator" / "Total Filter" button and the XW switch from the PCM to synth sound . :wacko:

PS. I still love my XW!
