powertrader
Can anyone help me with emulating the sort of setup that Ralph Maten did with "I am Ralph and I do Synth"? I don't understand if I create a tone using a recording and then use the tone with the keyboard. If that is how it works, how do I save the recording a user tone? Thanks for help! Display Name
Ralph did that using the Nave iPad synth app. The app has a text-to-speech function. One of the presets is "I am Nave and I do synth". He just changed the text to "Ralph".
powertrader
Thanks for the info. Do you know how to use the mic in to vocode? Or, to create a tone or sample to manipulate with the keys? Again, Thank you.
Display Name
The XW's do not vocode. You can, however, play the keyboard as you talk into the mic and change the pitch by using the external osc. block in the Solo Synth edit section. You end up with something like this:

BrettM
You can get a robotic vocoder-like voice by running it through the Delay DSP with very short delay time and very high feedback.
BrettM
The ring modulator is another option. Pity there's no dual ring modulator-delay DSP.
