AP-650 Chord Accompaniment is off for certain sounds

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a Celviano AP-650. I have just noticed that when I play certain sounds (like GM Tinklebel, no 113 on GM tones), the chord accompaniment is off by one full note. If a play a C chord with my left hand, the actual chord played is a G. This does not happen with all sounds.

I have reset the piano to its factory settings twice and the problem still exists.

Would appreciate some help on this matter.

Thank you

This sounds like could be a malfunction of the internal software. I do not own this particular Casio but is there a master tuning or transpose function? It is possible the main keyboard sound is being transposed while the accompaniment is not. Just a guess. I'll look over the online manual and see if I can help further if you can't solve this.

Jokeyman123,

Thank you for your response. As previously mentioned, this does not occur for all tones, only certain ones. I assume that a general transposition issue would occur for all tones.

To be more specific on the problem, if I play a C chord with the left hand with accompaniment, the corresponding chord with the right hand is G. If I remove the accompaniment, the C chord with the left hand matches the C chord with the right hand.

I would really appreciate any help on this, otherwise, I will be forced to return the unit.

Thank you.
