mkramer
I purchased a used PX-160, however sound is not working with the internal speaker system. Is there a system reset or function that I need to press for it to work? Audio inputs using the front port produces sound.
Brad Saucier
If the headphone jack produces sound, but the speakers do not when headphones jacks are unplugged, it's likely an internal malfunction and needs repair.
Joe Muscara
If the headphone jack produces sound, but the speakers do not when headphones jacks are unplugged, it's likely an internal malfunction and needs repair. If this is the case, you might be able to "fix" it by plugging and unplugging headphones until the speakers work again. The switch in the jack might be stuck. Try all jacks if there is more than one. However, be aware that this may or may not fix the problem long term and you may need repair as Brad says.
mkramer
I've decided to return the unit. It's likely it was damaged during shipment, or they failed to state this prior issue, so I'd rather start fresh on another unit.
