Tsquare Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Figured this would be a great piece to make use of the cool Sitar2 tone. Song of India.mp3 1 Quote

m10538 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 That's a beautiful melody, and well played! Makes for a good lullaby, I just woke up, now I'm sleepy again! Quote
Jokeyman123 Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Did you record this in one track with layered piano, strings, sitar or did you record separate tracks with each tone? Sounds very nice. Quote
Tsquare Posted September 21, 2018 Author Posted September 21, 2018 Thanks for the compliment. I used 4 MIDI tracks: Piano+Strings (layered) Sitar Electric piano acoustic bass Then I tweaked each track using the Mixer. I used the "secret" Store+Midi button to save the mixer settings to the MIDI file (great tip I found on this forum). Quote
vbdx66 Posted September 22, 2018 Posted September 22, 2018 Hi nice cover. Which Casio instrument are you playing? The Sitar sound is very beautiful, IMO you could make it a bit more prominent to emphasise then “Indian feel” of the song, for instance by using the Sitar as a solo instrument to play a few measures of the melody while the piano and the bass would just do the backing. Regards. Quote
