bob4 Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Okay so I have come to the conclusion that the CTX 5000 will not save Mike presets. I also have spoken to three so-called technical people at Casio in New Jersey and they did not have any answer for me either. So every time I shut the keyboard off and I go to another gig, what I will have to do every time to set mic reverb preferences is: 1. Long press the part button and display reads onPart 2. Short press the part button turns on red light, display reads KEYBOARD 3. Press NO button 1 time to display EXTERNAL 4. Press part button to turn red light off and display reads onPart 5. Press 2 button 3 times to set reverb 6. Spin dial to preferred reverb 7. Press 4 or exit button 8. Repeat all these actions every time keyboard is shut down and rebooted. Quote
Solution Brad Saucier Posted December 20, 2022 Solution Posted December 20, 2022 Press function, go to "other" and press enter. Go to Auto Resume (AtResume), and turn it on. It will remember reverb level and many other settings after a power cycle. Quote
bob4 Posted December 20, 2022 Author Posted December 20, 2022 Brad, I'm not that smart, could you please step me step by step on how to do that, because I don't know anything about this keyboard and I would have to live two lifetimes to understand that Casio owners manual book and have two or three phds in music. So if you don't mind, could you take me through the steps I would greatly appreciate it thank you. Quote
Brad Saucier Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 When I say "go to" above, that means use the left and right cursor buttons on the number pad. To turn on a setting, use the plus and minus buttons, also labeled yes and no buttons. Quote
avis71 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 i am trying to do the same with the midi local on/off setting but this one is not stored on resume, am i doing something wrong or is that not possible ? is there something else to prevent everytime doing these steps after a power down ? eg store midi local on/off settings in a preset ? Local control is not stored by auto resume. As an alternative, a silent user tone can be stored and used for upper 1. Edit a tone and adjust the volume to zero and save to do this. Quote
