CeLvIaNo Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Anyone know if there's a wireless adapter for the AP-450? It would be great to be able to use my wireless headphones with it. I tried a generic Bluetooth sender/transmitter unit but the lag was ridiculous, unuseable. I see there is an adaptor for certain casio keyboards that plugs into the usb port, and I was wondering if there was a similar device for Celvianos Quote
Brad Saucier Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Casio's wireless adapter WU-BT10 supports MIDI receive and transmit. For audio, it supports receive only. This is for using the keyboard as a Bluetooth speaker. The adapter will not transmit audio. As you have noticed, Bluetooth audio is generally not suitable for musical instrument monitoring. This is a universal limitation with the design of Bluetooth audio, so Casio is wise not to include it. MIDI on the other hand is low latency and suitable for wireless transmission. AP-450 does not support the WU-BT10 adapter. 1 1 Quote
Mike Martin Posted August 19, 2024 Posted August 19, 2024 To add upon what Brad said. It just isn't possible with a speed that would be playable. No manufacture offers Bluetooth Audio OUT for this reason. 1 Quote
CeLvIaNo Posted August 22, 2024 Author Posted August 22, 2024 Ah cheers guys. Am I right in thinking that the newer celviano models have wireless audio out via wifi? Quote
Brad Saucier Posted August 22, 2024 Posted August 22, 2024 They do not, nor does any other brand. 1 Quote
